Rice exporters in Mekong Delta were selling their produce at high prices. The prices ranged from USD 480 to USD 640 per metric ton. These prices have peaked over the last week and are the highest in more than 10 years. Many rice trading enterprises have a large amount of winter-spring rice inventory, so the prices should fall from 7-8%. China and the Philippines are moving ahead with their decision to suspend rice imports. Most highly prices rice is sold to Hongkong but the quota has reached the limit. Particularly, the Philippines stopped importing rice and is waiting for Government rice bidding.
