Some US frozen seafood exporters are looking into air shipment options for their products amid port delays and supply chain issues stemming from the Coronavirus. In some situations and where possible, shipping by air has become an easier option and requires up to 50% less paperwork. In addition, insurance companies typically do not like to insure perishable items more than 30 days in advance, and given the uncertainty of port delays both at domestic and at destination ports, finding insurance can be difficult.
