Saudi Arabia bans fresh produce exports

Saudi Arabia bans and constitutes severe fines on exporting tomato, potato, grape, pumpkin, corn, and watermelon due to their intensive water use. This ban includes fresh produce and any commodity that primarily inputs these crops in their manufacturing. Companies that import their raw materials are exempted.
