There is a large oversupply of dairy in Canada due to severely limited foodservice demand as a result of Coronavirus, but it hasn't resulted in cheaper production costs for manufacturers. Input prices for dairy manufacturers have not been affected as the supply and price of milk is highly regulated in Canada, both Provincially and Federally. As manufacturers change products from foodservice to retail packaging, it drives up with operation cost and higher prices are being seen at the consumer level.
