Fishing and aquaculture activities in Malaysia still ongoing with strict hygiene measures in place

All fishing and aquaculture activities may continue to be carried out in order to ensure the supply of meat, vegetables for the Malaysian people. The activity is permitted provided that the producer complies with the hygiene measures prescribed by the Ministry of Health.
Currently, most suppliers only supply the domestic market to ensure adequate supplies, as demand for food has increased by more than 250% due to the Covid19 Movement Control Orders (MCO).
