Due to the current situation derived from the Covid-19 and the Iranian New Year, the country has experienced a steep decrease in the import and export markets. After speaking to buyers in the region (Georgia, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Iran) many have confirmed that a number of deals have been put on hold until the situation in Iran and neighboring countries improve. One of the largest cereal buyers in the country confirmed that they had stopped all deals until after Iranian New Year (Mar. 20), which could potentially affect the stocks of grains in the country.
