Vietnamese dragon fruit faces competition in markets of China

Vietnam dragon fruits are mainly exported to China and have a nearly 80% market share. recently, China has licensed to import fresh Indonesian dragon fruits. With the presence of Indonesian dragon fruit, the Vietnamese dragon fruits no longer have a competitive advantage in the market of China. Although dragon fruits are not indigenous fruits of Indonesia, the fruit has been growing the country since 2000. the production is increasing rapidly and the most popular variant amongst the Chinese consumers is the red intestine dragon fruit.
