Iran exported over 700 KMT milk and dairy products last year

Iran produces around 12 million tons of milk per year with 650 licensed dairy factories. These diaries and factories employ around 2% of the country's total employment. The country has exported more than 700 KMT of milk and dairy products along with 50 KMT of milk powder last year. Iran's milk and dairy consumption per capita is 117 kg/year which is estimated to be lower than the global average of 165 kg/year.
