Turkey's legume exports have increased from 126 million USD to 173 million USD during the initial months of 2020. Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Syria, and Germany were the top export destinations in this period. Turkey is one of the leading exporters of chickpeas and is now leading the export in red lentil as the production volumes increase in size. Mersin city of Turkey is responsible for 80% of Turkey's legume exports as many legume processing facilities are located within the city borders.
