In the past, Myanmar exported live goats and goat meat to China and Thailand as these two countries were the largest importers with an 80% share. In 2018-2020, Malaysia has also started to import live goats from Myanmar for meat processing because Australian live goats started to get more expensive. The Myanmar government expects that exports for goat meat will increase more in the future.
