Iran has produced 1.26 million tons of aquaculture during the last Iranian fiscal year (Mar '19-Mar '20) which is a slight increase compared with the quantities from a year ago, 1.25 million tons. It's viewed as an achievement by Iranian officials despite US sanctions and obstacles before Iranian exporters. The US sanctions are said to have increased the domestic consumption and the country is making plans to increase the aquaculture to reach 1.6 million tons and generate and revenue of nearly $1.6 billion.
