Bulgarian sweet cherry farmers might experience losses due to COVID 19 pandemic

The sweet cherry harvest has started in the region of Varna, Bulgaria and farmers are expecting good yield this year. Meanwhile, they are afraid of worldwide COVID 19 lock down as well. Since the main consumers of Bulgarian sweet cherry are the tourists, therefore the COVID 19's direct affect on tourism industry could indirectly damage the local sweet cherry farmers as well. The farm gate price of that produce is from €0,31/kg to €0,61/kg.
