With yields being a tad lower than expected, olive oil producers have begun crushing olives. It was necessary to overcome the shortage of labor force and many other COVID-19 related issues, but the situation is rather stable now. Many dual-purpose olives or oil olives have been destined to becoming table olives due to an even lower yield in those varieties and better prices.
