The Philippines trying to catch up in cacao production

The Philippines are, similar to the neighbouring countries Malaysia and Indonesia, also starting to grow more and more cocoa due to the high demand not only on the local but also on the global market. Cocoa is known as a product with very high demand as it is used in dessert production worldwide. Currently, the local Philippine market alone consumes more than 50k MT of cocoa per year.
