Konjac which is similar to potato has recently gained popularity in Indonesia as an export commodity. Due to the high global prices more and more farmers are attracted by the prospect of the commodity. Buyers from overseas countries like South Korea, China, and Japan are demanding the product. The export volume of konjac has been recorded as 254 MT and the number is expected to go up to at least 400 MT by the end of 2020.
