The trade war between China and the US has had a negative effect on Vietnam’s export market of agriculture products including fruits and vegetables. The reason is that in 2019, China has tightened up the act of importing products and boost export to other Asian countries nearby including Vietnam. Meanwhile, the number of agricultural products from the US exported to Vietnam increased sharply. These two actions have led to a surplus of agricultural & food products in Vietnam, significantly putting downward pressure on prices.
