Romanian cow growers face low sales levels of dairy and beef meat while having veterinary costs increasing by 20-30% amid the Covid-19 outbreak.
The coronavirus outbreak has caused a drop in the consumption of dairy products and beef meat in the country.
The Romanian Meat Cattle Breeders Association (ACBCR) has officially requested from the Romanian Ministry of Agriculture to have "de minimis state aid". The request comes by the association in an attempt to save farmers and breeders from closing down and secure the continuation of production so that Romanian consumers will not have to face shortages in dairy and beef meat products.
