Nigeria will soon begin to export honey to Europe

The Government of Nigeria set up a committee by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture on honey production. The idea is to increase the production of honey in the country, ensure that the stakeholders are sensitized on pollination policy and how to care for the bees and for food safety.
The Nigeria Export Promotion Council is also working to ensure Nigeria gets approved and certified to export Honey to the European Union as producers and trained on residual monitoring process for honey. A condition for export of honey to EU countries.
