The harvest of the first vegetables from glasshouses in 2020 has started in Hungary

The harvest of the first vegetables from glasshouses and heated grow tents has started in Hungary and they are expected to hit the markets in April. Thanks to the mild winter there was no excessive need for additional heating to complement the standard heating procedures. The production area of forced vegetable cultivation in Hungary is about 3,500 hectare where about 441 thousand tons of vegetable was harvested.
