Bulgaria has produced almost 235 KMT of fruits in 2019 which is a slight increase of 2.7% compared to 2018. The significant increase is in apricots with 49% from 13,6 KMT in 2018 with 20,2 KMT in 2019. Peaches and nectarines have recorded an increase of 17% and reached almost to 34 KMT in 2019. In the same period, apples have seen a decrease of 13% and the output was 44 KMT compared to the 50 KMT in 2018. The biggest production output was seen among prune and green plums with 56 KMT and sweet cherries 55 KMT in 2019.
