Low production of sunflower seeds due to lack of investment.

Sunflower seed production in the country is only 7.49% of the total sunflower seeds consumed in domestic market, while over 92% is imported from Argentina , USA and Spain.
The low production is associated with lack of investment in the industry, by both the public and private sectors.
