Lockdown induced inflating prices of essential food products in Myanmar.

Citizens of Myanmar experienced a reduction in their monthly income due to the national lockdown and travel restriction. A large proportion of income was spent on maintaining the stock of essential and staple food products. Products like rice, peanut oil, onion, and garlic were purchased in large volumes in the city area, but due to limited logistics, the delivery was delayed. Due to excessive demand and limited resources to meet the demand, the prices of the products inflated by more than 10%.
