Greek wheat production is in a decreasing trend at the expense of different agricultural products such as cotton. Over the years the crop quantity has gone down to 1 MMT/year. Greece produces wheat flour and exports the flour to Balkan countries such as Albania and Bulgaria, and Cyprus. In order to support exports, the country realizes wheat imports and processes locally.
