Pomegranate export season 2020 reduced in volume and US$ FOB

Pomegranate exports from January to June were 36.8 thousand MT, 18% less when compared to the same period 2019. Average FOB US$ price was US$ 1.72 per kilo, 5% more that 2019.

Global export resume per month:

- January - February
Volume: 5,203 mt (37% less that 2019)
Price: US$ 2.52 per Kg

- March
Volume: 14,785 mt
Price: US$ 1.56 per Kg (the increase of offer had an impact in price)
Markets exported: Netherlands (44%), Russia (20%), USA

- April / May
Volume: 16,373 mt (20% less than 2019)
Price: 1.31 per Kg (17% less than 2019)
Most important months of the season. Normally represent 45% of total exports in volume.

- June
Volume: 165 mt (80% less than 2019)
Price: US$ 1.94 (28% more than 2019)
