Peanut growing in Malaysia but in small amounts

Although Malaysia has a peanut crop, this is very small, as peanuts are not a commercial crop in Malaysia. To date, less than 80 hectares of land are used for peanut cultivation throughout the country. Malaysia imports many peanuts from its close trading partner China.
