Watermelon and melon growers in Turkey set their sights to export markets

Melon and watermelon growers in Serik, Antalya continue the harvest of their products. The price for the first harvest products was 0.60 USD per kg for watermelon and melon. Now with more products available, the prices dropped to 0.37 USD per kg for watermelons and 0.30 USD per kg for melons.
Turkish growers remarked that there is no need for watermelon imports from Iran and that they are actually looking to start exporting their products themselves. They are seeking government support to find customers abroad for their products.
