Iran produces around 3 million tons of grapes per year out of which around 200 KMT are being processed as raisins. The country has exported 120 KMT of raisins during the previous Iranian fiscal year generating export revenue of $164 million that represents an increase of 6% compared to the previous year. While the country's domestic consumption stands at around 40 KMT, Iran expects to achieve 150 KMT of raisin exports by the end of the current fiscal year.
