Kayseri remains an important production area for chicken eggs in Turkey and nearly 35% of the eggs produced in the city are exported.
Turkey has increased its egg exports from 195 million to 4.5 billion in the last decade. Turkish egg exports to Iraq had stagnated due to the Covid19 outbreak but Turkish exporters were able to sell their products to different countries such as Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Oman, and Saudi Arabia. Currently, 10 trucks are exported weekly to these countries from the city of Kayseri, selling nearly 3.5 - 4 million eggs per week.
