Iran exported 117 KMT of watermelons during the first month of the current Iranian year (Mar 20th - April 19th) and exported 84 KMT tomatoes, 76 KMT apples, and 21 KMT of cucumbers. In total, the country realized export sales of 679,5 KMT of fresh fruits & vegetables and generated $336 million during the first of the month which is almost an increase of 26% in comparison with the same period last year. Favorable weather conditions and abundant rainfalls have helped the crop yield and farmers managed to produce more agricultural products to offer both domestically and in the foreign markets.
