The Cameroon government has decided to support and promote the beef, pig, and fish sector for the next 5 years by placing the breeding and fish farming values chain development project (PDCVEP). This project with the African Development Bank (BAD) support will benefit from a subvention of USD 121 million. The committee held its first meeting on March 2021 to adopt its annual budget and define its deployment plan. The Cameroonian government hopes through this support to be able to meet the growing demand of the local and sub-regional market.
