The Ministry of Agriculture in Kenya and the Union of Flour Traders (CMA) have signed a joint agreement to accept the proposal of Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta to take a move to reduce the price of maize flour from KSH 205/kg to KSH 100/kg. The agreement between traders and the government aims to agree on a proposed price for flour to enable more affordable availability of the product to Kenyans. Ensuring Kenya does not fall into a scarcity of flour products as it has been in W3-W5 of July 22, where the prices have gone up to KSH 500/kg.
