Turkish Agricultural, Food, and Beverage Exports Reached USD 15.8B in the First 8 Months of 2022

According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) and the Turkish Food and Beverage Industry Associations Federation (TGDF) Digital Data Panel, in the first 8M of 2022, the Turkish agriculture, food, and beverage sector exported USD 15.8B and imported USD 13.8B. The leading products in exports were flour (USD 0.90B), refined sunflower oil ( USD 0.69B), and pasta (USD 0.63B). Respectively, these products constituted approximately 14.1% of total exports. The leading imported products were wheat (USD 2.1B), soybeans (USD 1.7B), and crude sunflower oil (USD 1.0B). These three products account for approximately 34.8% of total imports.
