Peanut farmers in Alabama are keeping an eye on the skies and hoping that storms in the region don't bring in too moisture during the harvest. Last month Hurricane Sally caused delays across the South and farmers are rushing to harvest as many crops as possible before the next storm front comes in. Peanuts are particularly sensitive to humidity and moisture as it causes the stem to get weak and the shell to break open.
