China Mandates Registration for Thai Fruit Imports: GACC Announcement and Implications as of January 1, 2024

The General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China (GACC) announced on January 1, 2024, that all 22 approved types of Thai fruits must register their original farms and packinghouses with the GACC and be listed on the GACC website. Failure to register with the GACC or appear on their website will prohibit selling these fruits in China.

Cocos nucifera (Coconut)
Psidium guajava (Guava)
Nephelium lappaceum (Rambutan)

Lansium parasiticum (Long kong)
Ananas comosus (Pineapple)
Manilkara zapota (Sapodilla)
Musa sp. (Banana)
Passiflora caerulea (Passion fruit)
Carica papaya (Papaya)
Citrus reticulata (Mandarin Orange)
Citrus sinensis (Orange)
Citrus maxima (Pomelo)
Averrhoa carambola (Carambola)
Annona squamosa (Sugar apple)
Tamarindus indica (Tamarind)
