Challenges and Disparities in Atlantic Cod Byproduct Pricing in Poland, Norway, and Iceland

Currently, there is a high demand for Atlantic Cod byproducts, but the availability is limited. Poland, a major supplier of these byproducts (including Bellies, Bits & Pieces, etc.) to Portugal and Spain, priced them significantly lower than Norway and Iceland. The expected price for Atlantic Cod bellies in Poland was around USD 5.12 per kilogram (kg), but some companies offered prices exceeding USD 5.45/kg delivered duty paid (DDP) for Portugal or Spain in W3. In contrast, Norway's prices ranged from USD 6.00 to 6.27/kg DDP.
