Argentina is the leading exporter of pisingallo corn worldwide. 95% of its production, which takes place in provinces such as Buenos Aires, Córdoba, Santa Fe, and Salta, is distributed in more than 110 countries. Between 200K and 220K tons are exported per year, thus surpassing the United States, which has between 100K and 120K tons per year, and Brazil, which produces between 40K and 60K. Only between 6 and 9K tons are destined for the domestic market since the consumption of this product is not as popular here as in other countries.
