In the earlier weeks of Apr-24, and even into mid-Apr-24, Australian green grapes were in high supply in the Vietnamese market, with wholesale prices ranging from USD 48 to 50 for an 8.5 kilogram (kg) carton. However, the current situation has changed. With a shortage of this product in the Vietnamese market, prices have surged from USD 58/8.5kg to 60/8.5kg per carton in W17. This sudden price increase highlights the challenges posed by the scarcity of Australian green grapes, leading importers to adjust their strategies to meet the demand of eager consumers.
