Despite lower yields and prolonged droughts, Bulgaria has harvested 560 KMT of barley this harvest season which represents an increase of 2.4% compared to last year.
The average harvest yield was 406 kg per thousand square meters which is the lowest for the past five years.
As for the increase in the production output, it is due to larger cultivation lands allocated to barley production this year in the country.
