In 2020, the export value of berries from Portugal was EUR 247 million, among which value of raspberry amounted to EUR 183 million. Around 90% of the production of the berries are harvested in Alentejo, a Portuguese region with high temperatures and good soils.

The local producers ask for urgent measures from the Government, to fix this problem, before it affects the production of berries, and the exports.
