The market for blueberries has dropped severely in week 18. In the course of Spain's season, the price has dropped from EUR 8.50/kg (USD 8.91/kg) to EUR 3.00/kg (USD 3.14/kg) DDP. According to one of Dutch buyers, the market will not be improved even in July when the Polish season starts.
Typically, Polish importers expect the prices up to EUR 8/kg (USD 8.38/kg) in July, at the beginning of their season. However, blueberry buyers have a pessimistic outlook for this season. The buyers think that the blueberry market will not reach EUR 8/kg (USD 8.42/kg) this summer.
Mainly because the Russian market is not available at the moment, and the excess volume may come to Europe. Also, Dutch buyers see quite a bit of supply from Spain and other European origins in 2022. In addition, there will be a large volume from Poland, as growing conditions have been exceptionally good in Poland this 2022 season.
