Border delays between Paraguay and Brasil seem to have been solved

Due to the low water volumes of the Paraná River, cargo that was usually transported in barges from Paraguay to Brazil had to be moved by trucks. This caused about 600 trucks to get delayed in the border crossing between Salto del Guairá and Mundo Nuevo because of a lack of personnel to supervise the cargo. Paraguayan Chancellery managed to make Brazilian authorities send more inspectors so the crossing could be done more rapidly. Since last Tuesday, December 8th, between 80 to 100 trucks were able to cross, and if such pace is maintained, the situation is expected to be resolved before Monday, December 14th.
