Brazilian Chicken meat exports remain high in 2020

Chicken meat exports are at an all-time high this year and almost 3.498M MT were shipped and USD 5.066 billion foreign exchange revenue was generated. China was the main destination for Brazilian chicken meat in 2020. Other Asian countries which had a share were South Korea, with 109.5K MT (+ 7%), and Singapore, with 106.4K MT (+ 32%).
Monthwise, 319.7K MT were exported in the tenth month of 2020 and the revenue from October shipments reached USD 446.8 million.
In October, Saudi Arabia was the main highlight, with 44.9K MT shipped which is 22% higher than that recorded in the same period of 2019. Other highlights in the month were the European Union, with 21.2K MT (+ 29%) and South Africa, with 23.3K MT (+ 5%).
