According to the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), the national production of grains, cereals, legumes and oilseeds should reach 253.2 million tonnes in 2021, up 0.5% in relation to 2020, where 252 million tonnes were expected. There is also a projection that cultivated areas of soybean and maize will increase, while that of crops like rice, cotton, and common bean will decrease.
