The majority of Brazilian melon exporters are following the effect of the Russia-Ukraine war on the demand for melons and other fruits. Increasing global costs and inflation caused by the war affect the purchasing power and the demand for the fruit. Some Brazilian melon growers are holding back on planting until having a clearer picture of what the European market holds in the upcoming season.
