Brazilian Tahiti limes can now be sold to Chile since both government authorities have reached to an agreement of quality control for pests and diseases. However, in practice, there are still no companies that are qualified in the process. There are many pending bureaucratic issues and no Brazilian company has obtained the approval of the farm and packing house to continue with the export to the neighboring country. It is estimated that by the end of February everything will be resolved and Brazil will have some loads of lemon leaving for Chile.
