Nematode presence in strawberry nurseries is strongly affecting two regions of Chile, the Ohiggins and Maule, where more than 90% of national production is focused. Since the new strawberry plants do not bear fruit and nematode is highly contagious between plants, there is a decrease in the forecast of strawberry harvests by 25-30% this season.
