The price of beef in Indonesia continues to rise. At the end of February 2022, the beef price reached USD 11.15 per kg. This condition is due to the current high price of imported beef Cattle from Australia. In accelerating the entry of national meat stock reserves to meet domestic needs, National Logistic Bureau (BULOG) and the National Food Agency (BPN) import Buffalo Meat from India. This is to prevent the scarcity of meat ahead of Ramadan and Eid. As much as 20 thousand MT of buffalo meat will be imported from India for the first phase. Apart from buffalo meat from India, the next meat import will come from Brazil in the form of beef.
