California prune production expected to be about 30% less

The vast majority of the prune production in the United States comes from California. Prunes are currently just ending their harvest season as it begins in mid-August and lasts for roughly 30 days. The 2020 prune estimate is expected to be 85,000 MT, about 30% less than that in 2019.
