Cameroon increase banana export

Recent data released by ASSOBACAM ( Association of bananas producers in Cameroon) shows an increase of about 13% in banana export this February 2021 compared to last year. This increase is due to the resumption of the activities of the second-largest banana exporter (Cameroon Development Corporation) shut down last year due to secessionist attacks in the English-speaking areas.
Cameroon’s government expects for the second semester of 2021 a significant increase (20-25%) of banana exportation comparing to the same period last year
