Whilst the 2019-2020 olive oil campaign has not yet finished, some numbers and trends for this year's campaign have been released. The International Olive Council (COI) stated that there were positive trends developing in some markets, particularly in the case of Canada, which increased its imports by 22% year on year.
Another two examples of positive results are Brazil and Russia, which increased their imports by 20% and 18% respectively.
The campaign has not been completed yet but it is looking positive even when there has been volatility in the global markets as a consequence of the pandemic and this is a good sign for producers worldwide.
